The State of Israel has decided that it cannot survive without my help. So come November, I will be required to spend two years in the IDF. A number of people have asked me to keep a blog of how it goes, so here you are. I'll try not to take the usual Israeli approach of answering any question with "I can't tell you, it's secret" ("But I only asked for the time!"). As for the name, it's hard to be the TravellingJew while in uniform.
